Hello all !
First thanks for all the answers !
Yes snmpwalk was working, but the issue is well that SNMP in sophos firewall
(UTM SG 310 ver 9.7) didn't show up as a L3 device so netdisco din't arpnip.
The solutions of John are working like a charm, despite there are more a
bandage on a wooden leg that long time solution, you would be Sophos to corrige
there snmp implementation, or at least give the user the choice ....
Anyway thanks all !

Objet : Re: [Netdisco] Getting arpnip working
Hello Nicolas,
I have had this issue and opened a case with Sophos in the past but they
wouldn't do anything. The URM devices don't show as a layer 3 device in
Netdisco and appeared to me Netdisco wouldn't try to pull the ARP tables. I
worked around this a couple of ways:
1) on UTM, modified /var/sec/chroot-snmp/etc/snmpd.conf by adding "sysServices
4" and then kill -HUP the snmpd process - any snmp changes or a reboot seems to
set it back to default and then after next netdisco discovery it stops working
2) setup a cron entry to every 5 minutes make sure these devices show layer3
support in netdisco - be careful if you have other Linux Net-SNMP devices - may
want to change the sql statement to meet the needs of your environment:
# workaround for Sophos UTM devices so they are seen as L3 devices
*/5 * * * * $HOME/bin/netdisco-do psql -e "update device set layers='00000100'
where os='Linux' and vendor='Net-SNMP' and model='linux'" > /dev/null 2>&1
I hope this helps and please let me know if anyone has any better suggestions
than what I have found.
