Hi all.
Netdisco (2.44.4) recognizes my Cisco/Linksys SGE2010P correctly as "48-port 10/100/1000 Ethernet Switch with PoE". Netdisco shows the VLAN of the ports and the port status. I can enable and disable ports and I can enable and disable power (PoE). I see the configured VLANs.
Two questions:
- I try to set the VLAN of an access port by editing "Native VLAN" but this setting is not written to my switch. Why?
- Netdisco shows the interface name of the switch ports (for example g1, g2 etc.) in the column "name". Netdisco does not show the description of a port which I can set in the switch UI. When I change the port name in Netdisco, it writes it to the port description of the switch. So I lose the port descriptions in the switch and overwrite them by the interface names. How can I correct the mapping between "description" (switch) and "name" (netdisco)?
Best regards,
Mathias.

I am unable to see what switch port a mac address is connected to and I
believe it is related to the fact that none of my Juniper equipment is
populating node data.
The output from the SQL command *select * from node;* only shows data from
my Aruba/HPE equipment.
All devices in the network are being polled using SNMPv3.
SoftwareVersion
*App::Netdisco <http://netdisco.org/>*2.44.4
SNMP::Info <https://github.com/netdisco/snmp-info>3.70
DB Schema <https://metacpan.org/module/netdisco-db-deploy>61

Thank you,
Charlie

I always test by doing snmpbulkwalk from the same machine netdisco is
running on to make sure something is returned. Does that work? I've been
using juniper devices for years with netdisco with no problems.
