Hi -

First and foremost this seems like an amazing platform - thank you to all of 
those who have and continue to make it possible.

I am new to Netdisco, so high probability I am doing something wrong.

I installed the platform and it appears to be running - but when I issues jobs 
(Discover, Discover All, Stats) they never actually start...or at least it 
doesn't appear to start.  In the Job Que it doesn't show a start time and there 
is nothing updated in the inventory.

Is there something I am missing or something special I need to do or check?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

It is likely that your netdisco backend is not running.

As the netdisco user, please see my sample output:

netdisco@netmon2:~$ ./bin/netdisco-backend status
Netdisco Backend                                              [Running]
netdisco@netmon2:~$ ./bin/netdisco-daemon status
Netdisco Backend                                              [Running]


On my (debian) system, these are started by systemd.  Please see the below
for instructions:

I believe you are correct we restarted the services and now see the jobs
