   1. Netdisco discovery skiped devices (Oliver B?hrig)
--- Begin Message ---
Hi all,

I am running Netdisco (Version2) lang long and it works fine. In last month I saw discovery gaps in the scheduled discover. Some devices where skipped ?? during discovery and this behavior stays on, so the list is getting longer with the time. When I start a manual discovery on a skipped device discovery run without any problems and the device disappears from the SQL 'report'. ( with netdisco-do discover and via webinterface)

I build a SQL select for checking scheduled tasks.

The output from select looks like this

      name       |     last_discover    | last_macsuck     |
 SW-XXXXX-012    |  2021-05-11 07:36:03 | 2021-05-17 08:32:49 |
 SW-XXXXX-023    |  2021-05-11 07:39:09 | 2021-05-17 08:31:00 |
 SW-XXXXX-041    |  2021-05-11 07:39:39 | 2021-05-17 08:30:58 |
 SW-XXXXX-056    |  2021-05-11 07:40:00 | 2021-05-17 08:30:33 |
 SW-XXXXX-059    |  2021-05-11 07:40:17 | 2021-05-17 08:32:48 |
 SW-XXXXX-067    |  2021-05-15 10:00:42 | 2021-05-17 08:32:42 |

 up to ~50 devices

The macsuck job finished, discovery date is an old one. The discovery tasks is running '0 6-22/4 * * *', macwalk '30 */2 * * *'

Netdisco Version is up to date

Software        Version
App::Netdisco   2.47.5
SNMP::Info      3.70
DB Schema       64
PostgreSQL      11.00.12
Perl            5.16.3

In the database are ~ 950 devices and I can not find a typical device type, model or software version for this kind of 'discovery skip'.

Any help would be great

Thanks

Oliver Buehrig
