Hi folks,

I'm currently deploying a new Netdisco install at our org. I'm still in the
setup phase. I'm trying the offline install due to the nature of our
environment.

My issue is when running "Netdisco-deploy ./oui.txt" (using the oui.txt and
MIBs files I manually downloaded) I get to the section for downloading MIBs, I
get the following error:
MIB Download failed!

The install guide mentions putting the MIBs file in the Netdisco home
directory. I left the default paths for everything, so I assume this is
/home/Netdisco. I copied this folder to every potential valid location I could
think of. However, I still get the error that MIBs download failed.

I know I'm probably missing something quite obvious, but any help would be
appreciated.

Thanks!

Hi Charles

Yes sorry if the docs aren’t clear. You should choose “no” to the MIB
download part of deploy, and then unpack the MIB bundle yourself with an
archive app (tar -xzf … for example).

You should end up with a folder “netdisco-mibs” in the home directory of
the user and inside that will be one folder for each vendor.

Regards
Oliver.
