Hi everyone and esp. Michael who let us know his experiences.
We actually found a solution, thanks to Cisco partner engineers: the new
FTD version (software later than 6.6.0) allows SNMP replies from the
management interface.
One has to visit (in FMCv):
Devices -> Platform Settings -> [Edit NOA Policy] -> SNMP
where one can enable the protocol and define hosts to be able to query
the firewall.
This worked fine with our FTDs and we are back in business with netdisco!
I guess that's good news for Cisco FTD users!!
It seems FTDs have progressed significantly since the ASA/FMC versions.
