Hi,

first of all thanks for your great software.

I'm currently using 1.0.1 RC2 and found a "single" device which is in
fact a stack of 4 devices. Unfortunately only one serial number is
tracked within the asset management.
Is there a way to manage all devices of a stack separately as they all
have there unique inventory number?

thanks,
Markus

Hi,

the regular updatedevices.pl run throws some errors I'd like to mention,
maybe you are able to fix them:

[ ... lots more of those ... ]

Almost all devices are older Foundary Networks Switches/Routers or now
Brocade hardware.

AP-KU-OG4-418a is an Cisco AP1140 access point. There are lots of other
Cisco APs without this error and I cannot see why it should mention VLAN
4095? I'm not sure about it but I think 4095 is used for the "single
STP" protocol within the Brocade infrastructure.

this worked before I upgraded to 1.0.1 RC2

Hi Markus,

It seems that you use some Foundry/Brocade FWS648 ?

For Vlan 4095 issue, check your local Site.conf to allow VLAN until 4095:
-> Add it to IGNOREVLANS or set VLANID_VLAN_ID_RANGE up to 4095

For discovery protocol, you can test attached patch (I've to rewrite
it for 1.0.1, but, it might work).

Vincent

yes, most of our infrastructure is Brocade hardware.

thanks, seems to work.

I'm not sure if that works:

INFO - Discovering Network Topology using sources: DP, FDB, P2P. Min
score: 6
WARN - Topology::get_dp_links: x448-06 [GigabitEthernet48]: Port Port 06
not found in Device: bks-d-e38a-01
Invalid IP address: ;X.Y.Z.194;X.Y.Z.182;X.Y.Z.195

and there it stops. I don't know where these addresses come from, the
device bks-d-e38a-01 is a micro switch for cable trunks:
http://www.microsens.com/products/technologies/power-over-ethernet/poe-micro-switches/serie/Serie/show/gigabit-ethernet-micro-switch-6-port/
It has a totally different address in another network segment...

Regards,
Markus
