I just installed netdot and it looks promising but I am having an issue
adding my switches. I use Enterasys C-Series switches and a couple have
went in fine, but most are giving me two errors about dp_remote_id or
dp_remote_type being too long. Here are what two of the errors looks like:
Value for field 'dp_remote_id' (max 128) is too long:

Hi Shannon,
The check for value length was added in 1.0 and I'm finding that it's
causing more harm than good.
I have just moved the check from its previous low-level location to code
sections in the user interface.
You can wait for the next release or just get the latest copy of the
netdot-1.0 branch from the git repository.
