I have two separate virtual NETDOT machines and I want to move the
database over to the latest.
Can I just paste the mysqldump to the "Direct SQL Commands " feature?
It looks like it would drop the tables before rebuilding them so I
think I already know the answer but how do I go about getting the
information into the new Netdot server?

Thanks Joe

If you want to migrate the database, it's best to proceed using
mysqldump from the 0.9.x installation, load that into the database
on the 1.0.4 machine, and run the database upgrade process.
Cheers,
Phil

Phil,
I will check out the upgrade doc to see what is involved (assuming the
database upgrade process details are in there).

For NETDOT 1.0.4, when I Regenerate Network Graph without VLANs and
Network Graph with VLANs it only displays "localhost"
I have 17 devices all connected together, what am I missing?
In v0.9 it used to generate the entire topology.

Hi Joe,
I assume that "localhost" is a device in your DB.
When you go to the Interfaces tab for that device, do you see anything
in the "neighbors" column?
The device listed as "NMS_DEVICE" in your config file is the start of
the topology graph, and it must be connected to the rest of the network.

Carlos,
'localhost' is NETDOT VM image I downloaded (Linux netdot
3.2.0-34-virtual #53-Ubuntu) that is the server.
ok, sounds like I need to update 'NMS_DEVICE' to the fake MPLS cloud
device I created.
Where is the location of the "config" file in the 1.0.4 vm image?
