Dear netdot users,

I just started evaluating netdot since a couple of days, and I must say I'm
really impressed about this great product. I'm currently testing the prebuilt
vm image (version 1.0.4)

I started by discovering our management vlan via snmp and now all switches and
routers are shown in the devices overview. I then enabled the cron script to
fetch the arp and forwarding tables, so far everything worked as expected.

When I now try to find a server ip address via the gui, I do find this ip
(which was discovered), but its not showing the name (which I hoped was
resolved via dns) , vendor, location (on which switch and port it is seen)

At the other hand when I run the find_address.pl perl script to find this ip
address, I'm getting all info I'm looking for, eg name, vendor, device.

In the script I read: By default, this script uses information from the Netdot
database.

So I don't understand why the gui is not showing me the same info as the script
does.

Can someone tell me what could be wrong?

Thanks in Advance.
