Hello
I have some questions about how PTR records are generated through Netdot. I
have a reverse zone created for my IP space. In my case its a /16 (I'm
assuming this is ok, it seems to work). When creating records through the
netdot interface everything seems to work fine. The forward and reverse
records are created. However when I use the import_bind_zones.pl script to
import my DNS records no PTR's are created inside the reverse zone. I can
click on each record through the interface and create a PTR record that way
with no issues.
My questions are: Are PTR records not created using the import script. And if
not is there a way I can bulk create them after a zone has been imported
(instead of clicking on each record individually).

I cannot answer the question about the import script but if you remove and
recreate a reverse domain it does get rebuilt with the then current information
in Netdot.

I think that worked. Thanks you very much.

Good workaround.
But this bit me the other day too, so I went ahead and committed some changes
to allow the user to specify whether PTR records should be inserted/updated
when importing zone data from the web UI.
