Hello,
I?m using Netdot 1.0.6 and am seeing strange errors when trying to add a
backbone cable in the way that I?d expect to do it. I fill out the form for the
/netdot/cable_plant/cable_backbone.html page (filling out all fields
available). I tell it to allocate 12 strands to this backbone cable. When I hit
submit I get the following error:
"Error while inserting CableStrand: Can't insert new CableStrand:
DBD::mysql::st execute failed: Column 'status' cannot be null [for Statement
"INSERT INTO cablestrand (number, status, cable, name, fiber_type) VALUES (?,
?, ?, ?, ?) " with ParamValues: 0=1, 1=undef, 2='6', 3='NCSAOM3-01.1', 4=undef]
at /usr/share/perl5/DBIx/ContextualFetch.pm line 52.?
However, despite the error, two backbone cables get created with the same exact
names, attributes, etc (I?m not sure why two get created either). So then, I
tried adding the strands using the ?Manually Add Strands? portion of the page
and get the following very similar error:
"Error while inserting CableStrand: Can't insert new CableStrand:
DBD::mysql::st execute failed: Column 'status' cannot be null [for Statement
"INSERT INTO cablestrand (number, status, cable, name, fiber_type)
VALUES (?, ?, ?, ?, ?) with ParamValues: 0=1, 1=undef, 2='6', 3='NCSAOM3-01.1',
4='1'] at /usr/share/perl5/DBIx/ContextualFetch.pm line 52.?
At this point I?m led to believe that I should be able to define the status
somewhere, and by looking in the database schema and doing some poking around I
found a way to add a status but it still didn?t help because I couldn?t add
that status to any new cables
Finally, If I click on the [new] button for ?Cable Strands (0)? I get the below
error. Do you have any ideas what could be causing this?
