Where did you get the tarball from? If I take it from the official
download location at
https://osl.uoregon.edu/redmine/projects/netdot/wiki/download I see:
$ wget http://netdot.uoregon.edu/pub/dists/netdot-1.0.7.tar.gz
$ tar -tzf netdot-1.0.7.tar.gz | grep DBUT
netdot-1.0.7/lib/DBUTIL.pm
Is it possible that there is some other problem on your system, e.g.
full filesystem?
Regards,
Brian.

That is weird.
I redownloaded the tar file, compared with the one in my disk. Same size.
As a test, I deleted everything I had done, decompressed again the tar
file (the one that hadn't worked before...), and now both the install
and installdb worked at first try, with everything in place.
It was not a disk space problem, as it is a completely new server
(actually a VM), and both 'df -h' and 'df -i' give me ample free space.
And I had already tried to redo everything by deleting and starting from
scratch.
Sorry for the problems. It seems to be working now. I will now complete
the install (and import the DB from my old install).
Tks,
Roberto
