Greetings,
I've got some questions regarding importing zone data and generating
the reverse zones.
I've looked through the mailing list archives and didn't find
discussion about this.
1. Are folks importing their in-addr.arpa zones when converting to
Netdot, or just their forward zones and letting Netdot create the PTR
records from the forward records?
(Unsurprisingly) we have a few entries in our forward zone where
multiple names point to a single IP.
2. Is there a way to instruct Netdot to use a specific A record entry
for the PTR record when multiple A records exist for a given IP
address?
I know I can delete the auto-generated PTR and add a new one with the
desired domain name, but then I lose the auto-coupling between the A
and PTR records.
Comments and help appreciated.
Thanks!
