Either your nd server is not running (most likely) or your studio can't find it. As a convenience for the developer, when you change your app in the ND studio, it tries to tell the server to remove its app objects from memory, so that when you go to test the app, it will build objects based on your latest design. You might want to set up the ND server (if win95/98/NT, control panel->processes) to boot up automatically at system bootup.
