Hi,
We are running our production application on Solaris Server (ND 4.x). The machine
has 160 MB ram. We noticed we were getting frequent (Out Of Memory) errors in
the
netdyn log. The system, itself was not out of memory. We had set up the
shared memory
values, as per the nd tech note ( for a machine with 64MB ram and heavy
load). Since
this machine had more ram, we just doubled all those numbers. So far I have
not seen
the "memory" errors, since the change. There are pretty much no additional
processes
running on the server ( except standard system stuff).
Can anybody explain how we can find out if these settings are better than the old
ones ( the server load is something like 10 users, 1 txn every 1 minute ).Are
there
any "performance tuning" guidelines ?
Thanks
Keshav
