I can't believe that I've been using ND4 for over a year and haven't seen this problem
before.

Systems specs: Windows NT SP3, ND 4.1.3

When ND is installed, the file association for .java files is set to the ND Studio.
Because I do lots of custom development that doesn't require ND (and because
I like
my own editor better than ND's), I changed my file associations under Windows
NT
so that opening a file with a .java extension brings up my editor instead.
Everything
works great... until I open the Studio again. At that point, the file
associations
for .java files are reset to use the Studio to open the files. The only way
to correct
it is to reset the association again.

This is REALLY annoying! If I forget to reset the association and then try to open
a .java file, it goes through the process of starting up the Studio. If I
don't
happen to have the server running (because I don't need it at the time), it
gets
         REALLY nasty!

I've tried every combination of reset association/reboot/open Studio that I can think
of, and I can't make it go away! I even have the editors in the
Options->General
Options->Tools set to the same editor, and that has no effect either.

Has anyone else seen this? Any wisdom would be greatly appreciated.
