Just a quick comment.
ND and JavaScript do work together in the same way any HTML-based
application server does.
What Serge is saying is that the STUDIO does not support the use of
JavaScript directly. This means that if you are using JavaScript, you may
need to write your own code (such as adding onClick JavaScript handlers to
buttons by setting the extra HTML property) if you don't embed the
JavaScript directly in the HTML templates.
