When I to use ND to query a DB over SQL*Net I get a dialog that goes something like this: "The Oracle(tm) client and networking components were not found. These components are supplied by Oracle and are part of the Oracle Version 7.3 (or greater) client software installation. You will be unable to use this driver until these components have been installed." and I have an OK button. I also get more error messages from ND: XXX.doYYYY.triggerDatabaseErrorEvent: execution of the DataObject 'doYYYY' has failed: XXX.doYYYY. System error code is 28 (Data source execute exception) XXX.doYYYY. Vendor error#1 code is 0 () XXX.doYYYY. Vendor error#2 code is 0 () Creating a data source or data object results in the same messages as trying to access a data source of an existing project. When trying to query a SQL database over SQL*Net it is necessary to log into the machine as Administrator and do at least one ND query. I can then log out and log back in as me, and continue "normally" until I restart the computer. I can then access the data sources and the data as I would have expected, with no error messages like the ones above. Is there a something I can do to resolve this problem? ND4.1.3, everything local on Win NT 4.0 Sp3, except the Oracle DB on SQL*Net. Oracle versions: "2.3.2.1.6A" "SQL*Net Client" "2.10.11.0" "Oracle ODBC Driver for Rdb" "1.0.16.14.0" "Oracle Open Client Adapter for ODBC" The System DSN for the database is using Microsoft ODBC for Oracle v2.73.728301. Thanks in advance for any ideas.
