 :)

I think our beloved ND forum has just graduated into a real Newsgroup. Now
that
we have had:
- some anonymous/pseudonym posts,
- some newbie errors in etiquette,
- a bit of flaming,
- some semi-true and/or hearsay info

you've got to love it!

p.s. I'd still be very interested to get some reasonably official ND
reaction.
I think the original question seemed serious and appropriate, and unless
someone can ascertain, that the original Gartner quote is a fake, all loyal
ND
customers probably deserve a decent answer. The other stuff is just a bit
of
noise, misdirection, and chest thumping (quite amusing, but not
particularly
relevant).

All --

Pseudonymous postings make me wonder why the sender won't sign their
name/affiliation.
(I have the same response to the news media's "unnamed sources".)
I'd give your opinion more weight, "Watch Dog", if I knew who you were.

...I also worry about people who refer to themselves in the third person.
British royalty included.

Finally, flames don't help the civil discussion of events -- or opinions.

My two cents.

Shankar,

Kevin's original message was decent, and Kevins reply is decent too. The
Watch Dog appreciates.

What irritated the Watch Dog, which is normally impassionate and tries to
stay that way, was:
===============================
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!!
Try http://www.allaire.com
===============================
from some BigFoot As If he was just waiting to hear something bad about
NetDynamics. As If he was out to take revenge on Netdynamics.

Kevin, if you say this is a civil way of responding to a respectable Forum,
the Watch Dog impassionately disagrees.

WD feels you are being a little unreasonable here. One anonymous person
called him a troll. BF's provocation and this response cancels out
eachother. Then somebody else presented some facts which exposes
ColdFusion.

So nice of you to bring this fact to the Forum. WD also wonders why there
was no response from ND/Sun. WD's guess is, they found the whole stuff too
"childish" to respond to.

Cheers,

WD
