I remember a post by Todd Fast (search for subject "Very important note")
that described the order in which the init events
happen in relation to serialization of the project graph.
That post said
first project graph:
1 constructors
2 onBeforeInit init onAfterInit
3 serialization
Subsequent project graphs:
1 deserialization
2 onBeforeInit init onAfterInit
The post also mentioned that this might change in later releases of ND and
that
serialization should be done after constructors before init events.
What is the status in ND 4.1.3.8 and ND 5?
