By default NetDynamics installs the NetDynamics Service as a
Local System account, this account is god on that machine but
does not have access to the network resources. If you want the
access to network resource then you have use an account of
the PDC, if you are in a resource domain then you need to set up
cross trusts between your resource domain and the PDC.

Also, if you have NT Resource Kit Supplement Two there is a doc
on srvany.exe which talks of how to allow LocalSystem services
to access a specific share of another machine in the domain.

I have tried the first and it works but the second I have not tried it out.

Hope this helps.

Hi,
This question isn't drectly ND, but what the heck....
I've got an MS-Access db on a file server on one domain, and our ND app
server running on a different domain. When I create an ODBC connection to
that file, I use a drive mapping. When I'm not logged in, the drive mapping
goes away. How can I make a persistent ODBC mapping for this situation?
I tried hacking the registry and setting the location as a UNC, but I then
got permission complaints.
Who does the netdyn service run as? What would that sort of trust look
like?

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks,
