Yes he does.
There is no onClick event for image buttons in Netscape 4.0x.
Image buttons seem invisible to JavaScript

        Do you  have a strong reason to do the validation in the onSubmit of
the
        form rather than onClick of the search button?

        If you have, you can have a Javascript global variable objectName
and set
        its value in the onClick of each button:
