Hi,
I wonder whether there is any brave soul on the list using ND Java version of objects
(Frame, Panel, etc.)
together with HPUX.
It seems to me that HPUX version of ND has severe limitations when used with Java
appets, frames, etc.
Even to make Java running need to use a special patch from ND for nd_4x_* classes.
I would like to discuss/share all workarounds (if there are any) for all deficiencies
of the HPUX ND version.
Some of them:
- Impossibility to set background color for Java Panel
- Most of fonts do not work.
- Bean Introspection is very unreliable and produces inconsistent results -
sometimes work
sometimes don't.
- JavaTextField unresponsive to most changes in ND Inspector or Java Bean editor.
- Browser crashes when third party beans are present.
- ND Command Center is unusable (with Java patch).
I also wonder if there are ANY plans to support HPUX version of ND in the future.
