Hi Grace,

Now when I think of it, I can imagine users going mad if they find a button
that is so dumb. I didn't think from the design angle, just from the
technical side. Probably a Javascript Alert saying "You are not allowed to
do this" onClick of the 'disabled' button would ease the pain a little bit.
Well, in that case the button could stay of type SUBMIT and return false to
avoid submit.

In the HTML world I haven't seen any disabled button that appears a little
pale, and didn't know it existed. If that is not supported by Netscape, your
suggestion #1 seems to be a nice idea.
