Hi,
I'm not sure that blue-screening four computers was necessary
to prove the issue... Whatever.
After the first incident I would have installed ND on a machine
but before rebooting I would have went to the NT Services utility
and changed the ND server load to manual so that it didn't come
up at boot, i.e., I'd figure if there's something going on at boot time
and it has something to do with ND, it must be the server being
automatically executed by the startup process. In addition I wouldn'
t plug in my CORBA jars at this point. Then I'd boot the rig. Then
I'd manually start the server... and I'd be betting that it would run
ok. Then I'd make my CORBA jar files adjustment and reboot the
computer. Then I'd run the server... and I'd be betting it would lock
up. Why?
Something to do with confusion in ND's Corba system and your
Corba Jar files maybe? Revision stuff maybe... different vendors,
same class/method names, different functionality... something like
that. I might move my Corba Jar files from the left of the ND
stuff in the paths to the right of the ND stuff, i.e., let the server
get the ND stuff before it gets my stuff... I'd be putting a small
bet that this would keep the server from crashing... maybe, maybe
not.
