You can do much better than javap, if you like. Ahpah has a product called
SourceAgain which
decompiles .class files into very readable Java. They have a web-based demo at

http://www.ahpah.com/cgi-bin/suid/~pah/demo_license.cgi

-- you give them the URL of a .class, and it gives you the .java. It's scary
how good it is, particularly
with non-optimizing compilers.

Amit,

The command is javap. You can find documentation at
http://java.sun.com/products/jdk/1.0.2/tools/solaris/javap.html

Subject: [ND] Getting .java from .class

Hi All,
Is anyone aware of a tool to get .java files from a .class file. I used
it a year back and can hardly recollect the name.
Thanks.
Amit.
