I think the easiest thing to do is use a static text object instead of an
HREF/button.  Set the html escaping property on the static text to false (or
is true, don't remember at the moment :).  Set the value (perhaps after
retrieving the info from a data object) of the static text to something
like:

<a href="http://your.url.com/path"><img src="/images/your/image.jpg"
borders="0"></a>

And you are done.
