Your server should be more than enough. We are running with 2 200mz
CPUs and 640mb of ram with no considerable issues.

I have a couple of questions back to you ...
What is your apps server configuration? (How many CPs and DSs are you
configured for)
Are they running as their own process within their own Java VM?
Is there anything else running on the machine? (Web server, database,
other applications etc.)

As with anything, you need to find the right mix of CPs and DSs. If you
use too many, you will max out your processors because the ND system can
handle more requests than the CPUs can process. If you don't use
enough, your system will run slow because there aren't enough CPs to
handle the user requests.

We have had performance problems in the past (especially with 3.x) and
it took some time to get it right.
If you have any questions, let me know.

Subject: [ND] Performance Issues

Hi NetD Experts,

We've been experiencing performance issues with our NetD Application
server
over the past few weeks and I could really use your help/experience.

We had some issues with our app server configuration resulting in "No
Free
Worker Exceptions". After reconfiguring the app server and doubling the
RAM
on our server, those errors went away but the response time is still
slow.
When I look at CPU utilization, it is constantly at 100%. This is an NT
server with 2 450 Mz. CPUs and 1GB of RAM. In your experience, is this
just
too small a box? Is there something I should watch out for?

Any tips, pointers, suggestions are greatly appreciated!

TIA,
Anisha
