I am having the same problem working with Oracle7 NetD 4.1.3 and PeopleSoft 7.5.4.
I was tol by a NetD Engineer that the message is misleading and does not
reflect
the actual problem (maybe a message designed for the two-tier architecture
and not
changed for PS 7.5). Unfortunately I have not been able to solve the problem.
When
I get this message I can see that the PeopleSoft server logs (in the file
appsrv.log)
my call, but I see "Authentication Failed" in the log. I know I am using
valid PS
user id and password because they work in PeopleTools.
I am guessing that the PS user id and password must have specific priveleges (super
user?) to execute the message agent. Any suggestions? Anyone? ..... Please!!!! :)
