Yes, WIDTH attribute is valid for both list box and combo boxes in Netscape
browsers only, not in IE.

I have tried increasing the width of a list box and i
find Beth's argument
right. What i used to do was to embed empty spaces for these
list items. I used the
non-break space , of HTML to achieve this.
