We've implemented Oracle 8i's fine grained security and want to leverage it when building ND applications. The application will be multi-user, read/write with one complex entry screen and several supporting maintenance screens. Can I pass the user's logon ID through to Oracle to enable enforcement of Oracle's security? I need to pass this ID/password for each user. Or is the model that NDs controls the access and has one Oracle ID? Are there any known issues with ND 5x and 8i? Do I need to program the Oraclce row locking/unlocking in ND or that part of the default class behavior.
