I'm currently using java scripts to carry out a form validation task. My form
have several text fields and combo boxes and three buttons. All the buttons use IMAGE
type. Two of buttons' web event will update a database table and then goto different
pages. I associated my java scripts form validation functions on these two buttons'
click event. The other button is used to clear the input fields.
I did my field checking on several numeric fields' onKeyPress event, it works
fine in both Internet Explorer 4.0 and NetScape 4.08. When I try to do valiation
on the button's click event, I encounted a problem while in NetScape 4.06. The Click
event seems not being captured there. If I change the button's type to SUBMIT type,
the click event are captured in both browsers. But I need to use the IMAGE type for
these buttons.
If someone knows how to solve this problem or have suggestions to bypass this
