ah, so it's as simple as that 2 * 4 = 8 max concurrent users! <light bulb
clicking!>
What happens when the 9th user comes along? do they just have to wait longer?
New questions:
1. Would it be likely that this "no free workers" condition would cause ND4 to
hang?
2. Could some one toss out some ballpark config settings , advice, or recommend
documentation on how to configure for this end user scenario:
- 1000 users will be using this app mainly between 7AM-7PM
- most all of them will be using it on a daily basis to fill out their
timesheets,
- 70 ADMIN users will be heavier users approving time charges weekly, and
creating & budgeting workplans, and running reports.
Thanks!
Janet

Subject: Re: [ND] No Free workers
Hi Janet,
As you have mentioned the CP Service setting has
no of workers = 2 and
max no of clients per worker = 4.
This means that only (2 x 4) 8 users can access the app. concurrently.
Though I don't have much knowledge about scalability, one answer is to
go in for multiple SM's having the same configuration name.
