Have you tried regenerating the properties?
More voodoo, but I've seen it help system problems.

OK, now it's time for real analysis, as opposed to just 
restarting.  Sometimes you get lucky just stopping and starting without 
delving into the details, which makes it a low-risk opening gambit.
