Aby,

The Oracle version of a procedure returning a result set is a function
returning an open cursor. This has always worked for a PL/SQL client, not
JDBC.

I have heard that using JDBC and Oracle 8i enterprise edition it is possible
for this to work. There are some limitations.

The TYPE of the cursor must be a global type, not a type local to a package.
Of course this will not work with the ND spider API.

I have not tried it myself because I don't have this version of Oracle, but
it is described in the Oracle docs.

I haven't worked on the configuration in question, but does Oracle
Stored
procedure return any result set?

stored
procedure is as a OUT or IN OUT parameter.
