I tried to get an answer from Sun/NetDynamics Techsupport to the question below. So
far without sucess.

What is the proper version of JDK and patch level of NetDynamics 4.1.3 to make a 4.1.3
NetDynamics application Y2K compliant on Solrais? (given the application code itselve
is compliant). How can NetDynamics 4.1.3 be compliant if the required JDK 1.1.5 is
 not?

Suns Web sites states http://www.netdynamics.com/support/relnotes/RNserver413sol.html
to use JDK1.1.5 on solaris 2.6 with the 4.1.3 NetD release. (We are using 1.1.5 on
solaris, which works fine. We tried 1.1.6 and 1.1.7, but they don't work fine. There
are problems with password encryption and with diplaying logviewer and console on
 X-windows servers.)

b.t.w. http://www.netdynamics.com/support/relnotes/RNserver413nt1.html says to use
JDK1.1.7A for NT. (we are using 1.1.7B on NT which works fine)

but Sun states on http://java.sun.com/features/1999/08/y2k.html:

"The best way to avoid any Y2K problems in developing and maintaining Java
technology-based
applications is to upgrade to JDK 1.1.6 software and preferably to Java 2 platform,
and follow the published language specification. Please note that JDK software below
version 1.1.6 is non-compliant and no longer supported by Sun. "

If 1.1.6 is required, what patch fixes the console and logviewer problems?
