I am running ND 4.1.3 on NT 4 SP5 The ND service failed to restart after a reboot. I attempted to shut the services down and re-install but the Service would not respond. After repeated attempts the process would continuely hang and the Service removed itself from the service list but still continued to start up on reboot. I attempted to re-install after renaming the Java directory so the service couldnt start automatically and rebooting. This caused the setup to crash when writing the registry settings. Finally I uninstalled and reinstalled successfully after killing all stray netdynamics processes by hand but still the services inside the command center failed to start. Just before the reboot the log was reporting failed communications from the load balancing process to the worker processes but i think this was unrelated. The reboot was to clear the memory from old code so i could test the new debug enabled code now on the server. The need to reboot the server to clear the cache instead of the Tool provided may be an indication of the problem starting sooner.
