Hi Brendan and Curt,
We were talking about managing session ids in cookies couple of days
back, but still i couldnt figure out how to achieve the above, this is what i
want to achieve,
how you would read the cookie and restore the session state when executing a
netdynamics page from a static page on the same web server.
Example:
1) Netdynamics page stores session variable in cookie
2) User go to static page on same site (or different site it shouldn't
matter)
3) User goes to Netdynamics page - cookie presented - how is session state
restored?
Any sample code available?
any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Nagarajan

Nagarajan,
Although ND 5.x can do this, there are issues with the implementation.
The cookie sent by NetDynamics include the project name in the path so all
code which needs access to session objects needs to be in the same
NetDynamics projects.
The way I have seen this done with ND 4.x is to set a web variable in the
onBeforeWebEvent for the project. This approach does not work in ND 5.x.

Hi,
This is a supported feature as of ND5. No doubt there is
some way to do it
manually in ND4, but it surely would be easier in ND5.
