I guess ND is helpless. It is the browser's department. If you have a Submit button say btSubmit in your page and if you click on this button, the browser sends a name-value-pair for this button along with other stuff, which looks something like: >> btSubmit_onWebEvent(btSubmit)=Submit << It is the presense of this NVP that tells ND to do the onWebEvent for the button instead of loading the page, and that is how ND knows which button you clicked among multiple buttons. In the case of Submit using Javascript, the browser won't be sending any NVP for any button. So if you don't devise your own scheme, ND will load the page like a fresh request. The next thought might be if we can fool the browser by explicitly setting the value of the button element before doing Submit thru JS. From my experiece, the browser is too smart to be fooled by that. So when things don't work straight, we look for hidden ways!
