Hi Alex, this topic has gone around the forum b4. I happened to save some
replies to it, and pasted them below. Also, I tried using the JAD tool Manjunath
mentioned, and it worked nicely.

You can do much better than javap, if you like.  Ahpah has a product called
SourceAgain which
decompiles .class files into very readable Java.  They have a web-based demo at

http://www.ahpah.com/cgi-bin/suid/~pah/demo_license.cgi

-- you give them the URL of a .class, and it gives you the .java.  It's scary
how good it is, particularly
with non-optimizing compilers.
