Hi,
We use an NT 4 server and have both the web server and NetD app server on
the same box. One of the NetD app's we have on it is using an Access 97
database. Our users access this app through Netscape v4.5. The users are
constantly getting hung up when doing updates, inserts, queries, etc. to the
database. They have sometimes sat for 15+ min. waiting for the app to
"connect". Eventually it either gives them an error or they stop the
process using "Stop" on the Browser. Sometimes the data inserted will still
show up as added even though no confirmation was given - sometimes it won't.
Two questions:
1. Does any one know of any Access97 issues with NetD 4?
2. Does any one know if the app server keeps processing a request even
though the users has hit "Stop" on their Browser?
3. Does any one know if there is a limit to the number of Net D apps that
can run simultaneously on one machine?
Any information regarding any of this would be helpful.
