If you want to open a new window, what you need to do is, AFAIK,
'TARGET=_BLANK'. Other acceptable values are _PARENT, other  frames in the
same window etc. In your case you don't seem to be using frames. "details"
is just something the browser doesn't understand and whenever it doesn't
understand you, it opens in a new window.

So all I think you need do is have 'TARGET=_BLANK' in the link to the list
page and nothing in the links in the list page.
