I have seen this happening. My diagnosis is that you have intentionally or
unintentionally removed the single tab preceding:
//]]SPIDER_EVENTS END

ND is not very smart in recognizing this tag in order to decide where to
insert the new event code if you remove that single tab. Putting spaces is
no consolation. As soon as you put the tab back ND is happy.  This is
something to watch out when you use external editors to edit the java code.
