I believe there is a special piece of software from VisiBroker call SSL pack that you need to do this. SSL is slow by itself. Plus IIOP plus conversion must be very slow??? You can use other Java classes to do encryption and only encrypt those information you need to encrypt. > VisiBroker 3.x claims to support IIOP over SSL. > ND4 uses Visigenic 3.x ORB. > > I'm working on the architecture and design for a new ND4.0 > application. > We're planning to use Java on the client side and I want to make sure > the IIOP communication between the client and server can be secured. > As I understand it we need to hang two servers on the network -- > the normal web server plus an IIOP server.
