We are about 4 months into a project to migrate our existing inhouse system from an Oracle Forms 4.5 application to NetDynamics so that our outside agents can access our inhouse system the same as our inhouse employees, and so that we only have to have one system to develop. We are currently using ND 3.12, but want to upgrade to 4.0. Our production server is a Sun Sparc running Solaris 2.5.1 (which is being upgraded). Anyway, my question is about moving our existing apps in ND 3.12 to 4.0. What kinds of things do we need to consider? Is it just a matter of loading the project into ND 4.0 and rebuilding the projects? The reason I ask is that we have developed a very complex, and very nice, security infrastructure that extends the existing CSpInsert, CSpMultiSQL, CSpUpdate, CSpDelete, and CSpProcedure. All our ND apps use this security infrastructure, and I'm hoping that we won't have to do to many modifications to our code, especially this security piece. Are there any changes to the base ND classes? Are there any changes to how events are handled? Any suggestions would be much appreciated.
