I've seen a couple of message threads about users having problems running ND with
SQL Server 7, but not seen or can't find any answers, but if anybody has any
tips
on solving the following problem i'd appreciate it.
I'm using ND4.1.3.8 SP2 and SQL Server 7 on an NT Platform.
I'm using the Studio to create a new project, when I create the Data Source
using ODBC for the project I'm getting the following error.
Error Code:12
Error Message: [INVALIDPOSITION] Invalid position within RWDBReader
operator>>
Vendor Code 1:0
Vendor Message 1:
Vendor Code 2:0
Vendor Message 2:
Clicking on the OK button shows the created data source, but when I try and
create a Data Object it just reports there are no tables..(sorry if that bit
sounds a bit obvious).
The ODBC data source i'm using is talking to a SQL Server database (Version
7 with Service Packs).
I've tried checking the databases and the ODBC driver by using Microsoft
Access, Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Query and they all seem to work fine.
The odd thing is that my existing projects work at runtime without any
problem, but as soon as I bring them into the Studio and start looking at
the properties of the data objects using the SQL Server I get the same error
message!!
