We bought PVCS with the same idea but never actually implemented it. For
various reasons we used cvs, which does not offer integration.
From hands-on experience with cvs, I think that easy integration of ND
with any repository would be difficult, because of the way that ND handles
the .sid files. I found that if you modified just one application object
in ND Studio, ND would often regenerate _all_ the .sid files for all the
application objects, in such a way that their contents were the same for
ND's needs, but which tripped off diffs from a source control point of
view. So if I changed PageA locally, and you changed PageB locally, our
local copies of ND would each create a new version of the .sid file for
PageC. Then I would check in my work, knowing about PageA, but not PageC,
and it would be fine. Then you check in your work, knowing about PageB,
and there would be a clash on the .sid file for PageC. We got around this
with careful manual procedures using cvs. I have no idea how this could
work with any automatic interface.
