Wallfire will use common modules in the first place, and then will come such optimisations. I've done part is my cursus in Bordeaux (during which I've worked a little bit in the early days of Netfilter with Rusty :-), so I know the place quite well! :-) And I'll certainly do a Wallfire presentation there too.
