Ahoy, those patches are meant to be applied to vanilla (clean, umpatched) kernels. Are you sure your kernel is from www.kernel.org without anything applied before? (and better not even afterwoods, since then it's defiatly those patches breaking the stuff. The collected patch is just the CVS patches all in one file. So it would've happened if you applied them 1by1 as well) root@roeder:/var/log# uptime 10:11am up 10 days, 19:03, 1 user, load average: 0.00, 0.00, 0.00 This is my slackware 8.0 router for >100 NATed users. It works very stable. Make sure you recompile iptables 1.2.6a after applying the patches, there are some headers/APIs changed it seems.
